Weekly Grant Round-Up
The PSEG Foundation is contributing $200,000 to support another cycle of the Sustainable Jersey Grants Program for New Jersey municipalities. Applicants must have an appointed green team that meets the Green Team Green Team action standards.
The funding supports efforts to implement projects that can help municipalities gain points needed for Sustainable Jersey certification and make progress toward a sustainable future. The funded projects serve as practical and innovative models for the rest of the State and make measurable contributions toward the long-term goal of a sustainable New Jersey.
An informational webinar will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 1pm-2:30pm, that reviews the application process, shows examples of potential projects, provides tips on crafting a successful grant proposal, and demonstrates how to use the online application portal.

Now is the best time to invest in wildfire prevention and mitigation. Under the NJ Department of Environmental Protection Community Wildfire Protection Plan Grants (CWPPs) program, funding is provided to municipalities and communities for a cost-share incentive up to $5,000.
Funds can be used to implement wildfire hazard mitigation practices as prescribed in a Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP). Under the CWPP, application guidelines and approved projects are provided.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

The Public Humanities Projects program funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities supports projects that bring the ideas of the humanities to life for general audiences through public programming.
Projects must engage humanities scholarship to analyze significant themes in disciplines such as history, literature, ethics, and art history. Awards support projects that are intended to reach broad and diverse public audiences in non-classroom settings in the United States.
Applications are due on January 8, 2025, with an optional draft due December 4, 2024.
