Weekly Grant Round-Up
The NJ EDA's Green Workforce Training Grant is seeking proposals from entities that can provide skills development, workforce training, job placement, professional growth, wraparound services, and other related supports to implement workforce development initiatives. Successful initiatives will establish New Jersey’s talent pipeline and address identified labor market shortages for New Jersey’s burgeoning green economy.
The total funding available is $7,000,000, and awards are $250,000 - $1.5 million. Submissions must include at least one Community-Based Organization (CBO) that serves one or more NJ Overburdened Communities. Applications are now open and are due by October 8, 2024.

The Department of Health and Human Services Drug-Free Communities (DFC) Support Program provides funding to mobilize community leaders to identify and respond to the drug problems unique to their community and change local community environmental conditions tied to substance use. Program goals are:
To establish and strengthen collaboration among communities, public and private non-profit agencies, and federal, state, local, and tribal governments to support the efforts of community coalitions preventing and reducing substance use among youth.
Reduce substance use among youth and, over time, reduce substance use among adults.
Award sizes are up to $125,000, and the deadline is forecasted for March 25, 2025.

L’Oreal Paris' Women of Worth program honors women who generously volunteer on behalf of their communities. Each honoree receives $25,000 to support their charitable cause. Causes include but are not limited to Climate Action, Quality Education, Gender Equality, Good Health and Well-Being, and Reducing Inequalities.
This program will give 10 awards of $25,000, and nominations are due March 8, 2025.
