Each grantee can receive up to $40,000, $24,000 of which must go to partner artists for the reimbursement of materials, development, and presentation of the art installations, and for each artist’s time/fee.

The NJ Department of Environmental Protection’s Youth Inclusion Initiative (YII) provides a partnership opportunity for Community Host Organizations (CHO) to recruit, supervise, and provide youth with professional development services and a stipend while the DEP exposes youth to hands-on interactive activities and indoor introduction to various career activities that provide guidance for career pathways. Through this program, the DEP seeks to develop technical skills and awareness for careers in environmental protection, conservation, and sustainability for youth across the state.

Each CHO is eligible for $100,000 for this program, including $5,000 limits for additional Community Projects that physically improve the environment, such as rain gardens, stormwater drain painting, community gardens, community clean-up, or planting in the community.
