Weekly Grant Round-Up
The New Jersey Urban & Community Forestry Program (NJUCF) is geared towards municipalities, promoting the growth and care of forests in New Jersey's communities through financial and technical assistance. This is accomplished by grant opportunities, partnerships, and policies that help municipalities preserve and strengthen their forest infrastructure. To remain accredited in this program, municipalities have to receive at least 8 credits from NJUCF Continued Education Opportunities (linked here) by the end of the year. You can find your municipality's accreditation status here. Click for more information about accreditation and get in touch with us at hello@theaubreygroup.org if we can provide assistance.
CSX's Pride in Service program is a rolling grants program geared towards non-profit organizations, government entities, law enforcement agencies, and fire departments. Awards are meant to fund programs that support local first responders and their families. Applicants can request up to $25,000 in funding. The Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Clean Heavy-Duty Vehicles program funds municipalities to incentivize and accelerate the replacement of existing non-Zero Emission (ZE) vehicles. Specifically, this program helps cover the costs associated with replacing an applicant's class 6 and 7 heavy-duty vehicles, such as street sweepers, garbage trucks, school buses, and transit buses, with zero-emission equivalents. Through this program, the EPA will cover 33% to 80% of costs, depending on the type of vehicle. This amounts to a maximum of $160,000 to $780,000, depending on vehicle type. Applications for this program are due July 25, 2024. Click for more information and get in touch with us at hello@theaubreygroup.org for assistance.
