Weekly Grant Round-Up

GameTime's "Community Champions" program offers matching grants for local governments to purchase one of their playground sets. This means that GameTime will provide a 100% match for qualifying playground systems over $75,000. In addition, GameTime offers additional match tiers, such as 65% and 80% matches, for different systems in their catalog.

Applications for this program are due by October 18, 2024.

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Green Acres program provides grants and loans to help local governments accomplish the following:

• Acquire open space for recreation and conservation purposes across New Jersey.

• Develop outdoor recreational facilities for the public.

• Steward natural resources on land held for recreation and conservation purposes.

Funding awards are in the form of a matching grant, low-interest loan, or grant/loan combination, depending on the project category. Last year, awards for municipalities ranged between $300,000 and $700,000.

The Columbia Bank Foundation gives grants to New Jersey nonprofit organizations to meet the needs of residents in local communities. The Foundation prioritizes programs in the following focus areas:

  • Affordable Housing.

  • Community Investment and Economic Development.

  • Financial Literacy and Education.

  • Food Insecurity.

  • Environmental Sustainability.

  • The Arts.

Applicants can receive up to $25,000 in funding.

Applications for the next funding round are due October 15, 2024.
